This is an animated film based on the original DC Comics story of the heroine. A pilot, Steve Trevor, crashes on the mysterious island of Themyscira. There he finds Princess Diana, along with a whole race of Amazon women of incredible strength and beauty. These woman have been isolated and prepared for war. Diana must return Steve back to America, battling the forces of evil on the way. Once in New York City, Diana is dismayed to find that women are not treated as equals, and is appalled that women pretend to be of lesser intelligence or aptitude in order to find love.
