Coraline

In this animated tale, a bored and lonely girl named Coraline (Dakota Fanning) discovers a small door in her new apartment that leads to an alternate world. In this world her parents and neighbors look identical but their eyes have been replaced with buttons. The new parents are fun and attentive and Coraline likes her new world. But when the Other Mother tries to replace Coraline’s eyes with buttons Coraline tries to leave but cannot get through the door anymore. Coraline must outsmart the Other Mother in order to escape this scary new world and return to her own.

Inkheart

When Mo (Brendan Fraser) reads a story to his young daughter, Meggie, he discovers that he has the rare gift of pulling characters out of fantasy and into real life. As his daughter grows up, Mo searches for a very special book which is mysteriously connected to his family. Before Mo can find the book, however, he discovers that he is in fact being searched for by threatening book characters that he unknowingly released. Mo and Meggie flee to Italy and discover a whole land full of fantasy characters and the key to their family’s past.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

Year: 2009

Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) finds himself in another adventure at the Museum of Natural History where all the exhibits come to life after sunset. When selected exhibits have been deemed outdated, Daley must save them from permanent removal from the museum. To make matters worse, one of the exhibits, the pharaoh Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria), plans to steal the tablet that allows the exhibits to come to life and use it to raise an army that will take over the world. Daley, with the help of the exhibits, must find the tablet at the Smithsonian Institution and stop Kahmunrah.
